If you go into any self-respecting woman's closet, you are bound to find a lot of shoes. It is a stereotype that has been earned through hard work and a genuine love of fine footwear. And there are shoes of all different types, sizes and colors, that can be worn to pretty much any situation you could think of. And believe it or not, not all shoes even look like the traditional notions of what a shoe is supposed to look like. Some kinds of shoes actually look like the feet that they are covering, if you can imagine something that crazy.
If you have never seen the Vibram Five Fingers variety of shoe, you are missing out. While most people have never heard of them, Five Fingers actually look like your feet, and allow your toes to move independently of one another. While most shoes make you squeeze your toes into a rounded off (or even pointed!) end, which can get pretty uncomfortable after awhile, the Five Fingers type of shoes basically let you walk around barefoot without having the problems you would usually encounter by doing that. You really have to see these things to believe them; while weird, they are the kind of shoes that get people talking.
Apparently, a lot of people who have free minds (they might be hippies) have started a movement called barefooting, where you basically just strap on shoes like Five Fingers and get the best of both worlds. If you like to walk around barefoot, this will give you all of that freedom. But you can still go into nice places, because you still technically have shoes on. If you can find a place that will let you try on a pair of Five Fingers (which look really cute), try it out. They look like something that you might never give up.
